This system passes contaminated water through a reactor where an electric current generates strong oxidants that break the resilient chemical bonds of PFAS, destroying the compounds and leaving behind harmless byproducts. Aclarity's process is designed to be a definitive solution, unlike traditional methods that merely separate and relocate the hazardous materials. The technology has demonstrated its effectiveness by destroying PFAS compounds by up to 99% in field applications.

Aclarity's business model involves providing these water treatment systems and hardware to a diverse client base that includes landfills, centralized waste treatment facilities, and various industrial sectors such as pulp and paper, textiles, and food and beverage manufacturing. The company targets customers with highly concentrated PFAS streams, like landfill leachate, where its technology offers a significant cost advantage over traditional disposal methods.
